Ole Ranmael appears to have come from Denmark with his brother Arne about 1891 to Livingston, Montana. They established several mining claims in Park County, Montana, in 1906 and 1908. Ole was a member of the Cooke Miners Union No. 165 of the Western Federation of Miners, Mining Department of the I.W.W. In March, 1911, he married Olive S. McGetrick; they settled in Ronan, Montana.
